Welcome to Kansas City Favorites

We are thrilled to bring you our 2025 edition of Kansas City Favorites. Our readers and residents are proud of the communities they live in and know the area the best. That is why The Kansas City Star set out to deliver a “best of” program to help the community and support Kansas City area businesses.

This year’s program received more than 270,000 votes — a 45% increase from last year — reflecting the growing enthusiasm and engagement from the community. Kansas City Favorites had over 4,900 businesses, organizations, and individuals competing to be named in the top three spots of 274 categories.

Producing a contest of this size takes a dedicated local team and committed businesses. They, along with all our advertisers, made this possible. We could not be prouder to salute and pay tribute to the great businesses that were voted the best in their individual categories.
